“데뷔를 하면서 활동명을 고민하고 있을때 대표님 추천으로 한강 작가의 '흰'을 읽게 됐다. 다양한 흰 것들에 대한 사색이 담긴 책”

“마음이 따뜻해졌다가 슬퍼지는 등 수많은 감정이 드는 책이다. 특히 우리 엄마에 대해 다시 한 번 되돌아보게 했다”

“그 이후에 제가 처음 산 아니에르노의 칼 같은 글쓰기이라는 책인데 아니에르노의 파격적인 면을 배제한 인터뷰 형식의 에세인데 어떤 마음으로 글 쓰기에 임하는지를 알 수 있는 그런 책입니다.”

“‘82년생 (김지영)’ 그거 읽었고, ‘별일 아닌 것들로 별일이 됐던 어느 밤’도 읽었다”

“저는 그 책에 단번에 빠져들었어요.”

““제가 말에 상처를 정말 많이 받는데, 그게 최정점을 찍을 때 따뜻한 말이 필요해서 책으로 마음을 달래야겠다고 생각했을 때 ‘언어의 온도’라는 책을 보게 됐죠. 제목부터 따뜻해서 끌렸어요. 그래서 시간만 나면 계속 읽어요. 지칠 때마다 안정감을 주거든요. 말의 깊이 그리고 ‘따뜻한 온도’를 가진 말의 힘을 느끼고는 해요.””

“천년의 사랑, 아버지.”

“when i read books, i imagine everything in the scenes. these days i’m reading a book called dallergut dream department store and when they talk about the dream department store i can see it in my head. i imagine i'm shopping there as i read. it’s not just novels, but other books, too — for example, if there’s a sentence where einstein’s talking, i imagine him saying it. (laughs) that's probably why i was able to learn video production so quickly.”

“if i were to buy [a dream], it’d be one where i’m flying through the skies or swimming freely in the deep sea. but those kinds of dreams don’t sell well.”

“i read <dallergut dream department store>.”

“for me, i'd buy a one where we become whales and swim together in the sea. what’s the relation? because it's a whale, im a whale shark.”

“i’ve told this to carats several times. after reading <dallergut dream department store> i haven't been able to read a book as i’ve been busy with work.”
